ASSURED SALVATION

HOW CAN I BE ASSURED OF MY SALVATION?

Believe God’s Word

Based upon what you feel is the source of your lack of assurance; examine the following scriptures to see what God’s word says about it.

Psalms 103:13; Job 14:17; John 10:28-30; Ephesians 1:13 – 14; Romans 10:13; Luke 15:7.

Dedicate Yourself to God

Uncertainty thrives among those who are uncommitted. Full devotion to God gives you confidence that you know Him. (2 Peter 1:5-11)

PRAY AND STUDY THE BIBLE

2 TIMOTHY 2:15 "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth."

JOIN A CHURCH

Church membership is essential to the ongoing spiritual growth of Christians. Through membership in a church community, you will find spiritual mentors and friends who will encourage you in your walk with Christ (Hebrews 10:25).

SHARE CHRIST WITH OTHERS

As Christians, we are to share with others how they can enter a relationship with him. Publicly confessing Christ gives us added strength to live for him and is evidence the we really know him (Matthew 10:32-33).

WHAT WE BELIEVE

"There is one Body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called into one hope of your calling: One Lord, One faith, and One baptism; One God, and Father of all, who is above all, and in you all." Ephesians 4:4-6

About the Bible: We believe that the Bible is God's Word. As such, it is true without any mixture of error and is the supreme standard by which all human conduct, creeds, and opinions should be tried.

About God: We believe that there is one living and true God Who has revealed Himself as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and Who is worthy of all possible honor, worship, and praise. As Creator, Redeemer, and Ruler of heaven and earth. He is expressibly glorious in holiness and love.

About Jesus Christ: We believe in the full humanity and deity of Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, sinless life, death on the cross for our sins, bodily resurrection and ascension, present ministry of intercession of believers, and His personal and visible return in power and glory.

About the Holy Spirit: We believe in the personality and deity of the Holy Spirit Who regenerates unbelievers, the evidence of which is repentance, faith, newness of life. We believe He indwells believers, enabling them to live a godly life, transforming them to the likeness of Christ, and keeping them by power of God until the day of Jesus Christ.

About Man: We believe that man was created in the image of God and was intended to have fellowship with God. However, since Adam, all men are sinners by nature and by choice, and are under the just condemnation of the Holy and Righteous God.

About Salvation: We believe that salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone, Who is the only and all-sufficient Savior and the only Mediator between God and man; and that the Gospel of salvation should be shared with every person in the world.

About the Church: We believe that the church, the Body of Christ, is a group of baptized believers, associated by covenant in the faith and fellowship of the Gospel. The two ordinances of the Church are Baptism by immersion in water and the Lord's Supper, a provision of bread and fruit of the vine representing the body and blood of Christ.

SAVED, NOW WHAT?

Be Baptized

Baptism should follow a belief in Christ (Acts 2:41).
Baptism is a ceremony which symbolizes a believer's new relationship with Christ.

  • It symbolizes a Christian' s union with God (Matthew 28:19-20).
  • It symbolizes a Christian's cleansing from sin (Acts 22:16).
  • It symbolizes a Christian's death, burial, and resurrection with Christ (Romans 6:3-4).
  • It symbolizes a Christian's pledge to live a godly life (1Peter 3:21).

Baptism is to be done by immersion (Matthew 3:16).
In baptism by immersion, one's body is completely submerged under water and then lifted out of the water.

HOW TO BE SAVED
Because of sin in our lives we all stand in need of salvation

What is sin? Sin is any action or thought that violates God’s commands and instructions as given to us in the Bible. Sin is aiming at the bulls eye and missing the mark.
Who has sinned?

The Bible Says:
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God”.   – Romans 3:23

What’s so bad about sin?

The Bible Says:
For the wages of sin is death... – Romans 6:23a
“The soul that sinneth, it shall die”. – Ezekiel 18:20 (KJV)
“But your iniquities have made a separation between you and your God…” Isaiah 59:2

The solution to sin The Bible Says:
“But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us”. – Romans 5:8
What does God offer in place of sin? Let’s see what the Bible says:
“For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord”. – Romans 6:23
How can you accept this free gift? The Bible says:
“That if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved”. – Romans 10:9
If you believe God's word then pray this prayer:
Dear Lord Jesus, I believe you died for my sins and was raised from the dead. Please forgive me and give me an eternal relationship with you. I surrender to your leadership in my life right now. Thank you for saving me!
