CHRISTIAN EDUCATION
The purpose of Christian Education at Shiloh is to teach the Bible with clarity, offer relevant classes on the Christian life – style, help believers to grow holistically, and train believers for leadership. Christian Education currently is offered through the following:

Sunday School - Sundays at 9:15 a.m.
Hour of Power Bible Study – Wednesdays 7:00p.m.
Special Conferences/Workshops

ADDED MEMBER'S MINISTRY - This is one of the most important ministries here at Shiloh. This ministry is responsible for offering assurance to those that have made a decision to follow Christ and are now being a part of our ministry. Added Members are welcomed and encouraged to participate in the worship and praise service through song, prayer, dance, bible study and teaching.

Immediately after becoming a part of this body of Christ, every added member is expected and encouraged to complete the Added Members Orientation Course.

This course consist of (3) sessions.

DEACONS MINISTRY - This ministry serves as an extension of Pastor Turner to the body of Christ so that the people of God have their needs met through the servants of God. The main focus of this ministry is to know, reach out to, love nurture and care for the members of this flock

DEACONESS MINISTRY – This ministry works with the Pastor and Deacons in preparation to observe the ordinances of the church as well as any place the pastor directs.

TRUSTEES - This ministry is responsible for the upkeep, maintenance and well-being of all church property, equipment and real-estate.

WILLING WORKERS (Transportation Ministry) – This ministry provides rides for all members that need transportation to regular and special services at the church or away.

SCHOLARSHIP MINISTRY – The scholarship ministry provides financial support to graduates that qualify for a scholarship from our church.

PRISON MINISTRY – The purpose of the prison ministry is to teach, preach, and reach men, women, boys, and girls housed in correctional centers.

REV. DR. KING T. HAYES SOUP KITCHEN MINISTRY – This ministry helps live out the biblical mandate of Matthew 25:34 – 36; 45 by providing food and clothing to those in need since 1992. This ministry was named after the former pastor Rev. Hayes who led the church to reopen the soup kitchen after it was closed for 50 years.

2nd and 4th Tuesdays 12:00p.m. – 2:00p.m. Groceries available

FREDA COOPER FLOWER MINISTRY – Helps the aesthetics of the church building and grounds by providing floral arrangements.

MISSIONARY MINISTRY – The missionaries help support special mission projects at home and abroad. 

SECURITY MINISTRY  – Assist in parking vehicles and securing the church grounds at all services and activities.

PASTOR'S AIDE- This ministry serves God, The Pastor, The First Lady, and family in special ways in order to support them in leading the congregation.

HEALTH AND WELLNESS MINISTRY - This ministry provide health care and information in partnership with local and national hospitals, health centers, and health organizations.

QUEEN ESTHER FOSTER CARE & ADOPTION MINISTRY – Based on the biblical story of Esther this ministry is a comprehensive community based foster care and adoption recruitment and retention initiative. The ministry is a collaborative effort between the Faith community of Greater Hartford and the Department of Children and Families. It main purpose is to place children that have been removed from their biological families due to unfortunate circumstances and place them in homes where they can fulfill their prophetic destiny.
